When it was all over, the game had clocked in at an incredibly brisk 2 hours and 22 minutes. Minimal walks, zero defensive errors from either side. Amidst a breathless, rapid-fire pace, the Red Sox's "strategic victory" stood out brilliantly.
As I walked out of the stadium, I kept seeing the image of Mikolas' slumped shoulders. For those who know his past glory, it's painful to watch him struggle like this. But this is the reality of the brutal survival of the fittest in the Major Leagues.
