プロ野球の未来を担う若手選手たちを称える「**NPB AWARDS 2025 supported by リポビタンD**」の第一部として、2025年シーズンにおけるファームの優秀な記録を残した監督、選手、およびプロ野球の発展に貢献した方々への表彰式が盛大に開催されました。
2025 Farm League Summary and Mention of New Structure
In his opening address, Commissioner Sakakibara reviewed the 2025 season:
Eastern League Champion:Yomiuri Giants (29th title, 2 years since last win).
Western League Champion:Chunichi Dragons (17th title, 14 years since last win).
Farm Japan Series:Chunichi Dragons defeated the Giants, claiming their 7th Japan Series title, their first in 14 years.
The Commissioner also announced that starting next season, the current two-league system (Eastern/Western) will be reformed into a new structure where **14 teams will be divided into three regions (East/West)**. Regular inter-regional exchange games will be held to further enhance the appeal of the farm league. The Commissioner expressed his expectation that the awardees will use this season's success as a foundation to "soar as core players in Japanese baseball."
Achievement: Honored for his long service in farm development, having fostered and sent many players to the 1st team, including Tetsuto Yamada and Munetaka Murakami.
Farm Excellent Umpire Award
Recipient:Umpire Kazuhiro Nishizawa
Achievement: Recognized for his excellent technique and for making his 1st team official game debut this season.
